In the final stretch of the signing period, Atlético Mineiro used social media to announce the signing of young Colombian prospect, Brahian Palacios. The striker will stay at Galo until the end of 2027.

As had already been reported, Atlético closed the deal last Monday (04), and since Tuesday (05), the youngster has already been in Belo Horizonte, but only today, the youngster was announced. Brahian is already on the BID (Boletim Informarivo Diário), so he can make his debut for Galo in the semi-final of the Mineiro that takes place on Saturday against América.

Galo will pay around US$3 million (around R$15 million) for the 21-year-old, who will sign a four-year contract until the end of 2027.

The youngster is left-footed and likes to play as a left winger, with speed and dribbling as his main characteristics. But because he’s young, he’s still a little inexperienced in his decision-making. But alongside Galo’s experienced strikers, the youngster has all the potential to develop and be important for the Albiceleste squad.

The CIGA (Galo Information Center) played a key role in signing the athlete. According to journalist Rapshow, from Canal Alvinegreo, the head of the department, Rodrigo Weber, was responsible for negotiating the arrival of Brahian Palacios from Atlético Nacional. The young player’s profile and potential for resale were key to his acquisition. This type of athlete has been the purchasing profile of Atlético’s SAF.
