Botafogo are interested in signing Mauricio, from Internacional. The club has approached the player’s manager to find out the conditions of a possible deal for the 2024 season. The Alvinegro have yet to submit an official proposal. The information comes from journalist João Pedro Fragoso of “O Globo”.
According to the report, the deal is considered difficult, given that Inter has already rejected proposals of 8 million euros (around R$43 million) and has no intention of selling the player to another Brazilian club.
The club from Rio Grande do Sul owns 50% of the player’s economic rights, while Cruzeiro has 25% and Desportivo Brasil has 20%. The other 5% belongs to the midfielder.
Today marked the last day of the window. However, there is a clause in the CBF’s National Regulations for the Registration and Transfer of Athletes that allows signings beyond this deadline, between April 1 and 19. The next window will be shorter, opening on July 10 and remaining open until September 2.
