Schalke 04 announced on Tuesday 12 a special uniform for the 2023/2024 season. The traditional German club, which is currently playing in the second division of the Bundesliga, will take to the field with items created by its own fans.
The fans opted for numerous historical references for the club founded in 1904. In the center of the shirt, you can see an old team shield, along with the message “forever my club”.
On the back of the shirt, there is a mention of the young fans who will help make the uniform: “no matter how young or old, no matter how big or small”.
The most eye-catching detail is on the right-hand side of the uniform, with the floodlight of the Parkstadion stadium, where the club played until 2001.
Part of the proceeds from the sales of the uniform will go to a charity.
Schalke 04 dropped to the second division last season and are still not enjoying their best days. The team is 14th out of the 18 participating teams, with nine wins, three draws and 13 defeats.
