1. Take the photo at eye level of the pet

To capture better photos of your pet, it’s important to crouch down and shoot at eye level. This avoids the impression that they are “flattened” and allows people to see them as equals. This technique adds a special touch to your photos, ensuring a more immersive image.

Even if it means lying on the floor, the effort is worth it to get a quality image. If the pet is small or medium-sized, you can place it on a comfortable piece of furniture and crouch down to capture the photo at the same level as its gaze.

2. Know the right time to take the photo

Photograph your dog in moments of play and relaxation, when he is “smiling” with his mouth open and his tongue out, showing that he is happy. These candid photos capture precious moments and convey joy. When the animals appear to be looking directly at the camera, it’s hard not to be enthralled by the image. Now that you know these tips, grab your camera and start practicing!

3. Choose the right background

Before shooting, prepare the room by choosing an attractive wall and arranging the furniture. A throwback on the sofa can add a cosy touch. Avoid scattered objects and clothes to keep the focus on your pet. Opt for places with few elements to highlight the animal in the photo. The simpler the environment, the better the result.
