A fire broke out in the Parolin neighborhood of Curitiba on Sunday (21), resulting in the destruction of six houses and leaving residents homeless. The flames mobilized five teams of the Fire Department, who responded to the call to contain the fire and provide aid to the victims.
During the fire, a woman saved a child but ended up suffering minor burns. Medical teams were called to attend to the injured, including a child who needed care due to smoke inhalation.
So far, authorities have not been able to determine the exact cause of the fire, which quickly consumed the affected homes.
Investigations are ongoing, and forensic teams will be sent to the scene to ascertain the circumstances of the incident and take the necessary measures.
Faced with the emergency situation, the City of Curitiba took immediate measures, activating the CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) of Parolin to provide assistance to the affected families.
Many residents lost their homes and had to take shelter in the homes of relatives and friends. CRAS began assisting the victims, offering support and referring the homeless to receive comprehensive assistance through the FAS (Social Action Foundation).
The registration of people affected by the fire in the FAS will ensure that they receive all the necessary support. In the meantime, authorities are continuing their investigative work.
