Girona right-back Yan Couto He collided head-on with teammate Juanpe Ramírez last Thursday (25) during a training session, causing concern in the Spanish club, which sent both players to the hospital. The Brazilian athlete, however, is already recovering from the injury, and took to social media to show the result of the “damage”.

Yan Couto had to take several stitches on his forehead due to the cut opened with the collision. Juanpe Ramírez, on the other hand, ended up fracturing his nose. It is not yet known if the Brazilian will be able to take the field this Saturday, at 9 am (Brasília time), against Las Palmas, for the 33rd round of the Spanish Championship. Ramírez, meanwhile, is expected to be sidelined for about two weeks.
The two athletes stayed in the hospital for hours, so that the proper clinical tests could be carried out, in order to rule out any more serious injury, since the shock between the two was violent. After all the procedures, they were released.
Girona has been having a surprising campaign in the Spanish Championship. The team occupies third place in the competition, with 68 points, just two less than second-placed Barcelona. If they finish in the top four, the club will guarantee itself directly in the group stage of the next Champions League.
