The reconciliation between Daniel Alves and Joana Sanz caused a rift in the player’s family, according to Spanish press reports. The athlete’s relatives would not be at all pleased with the attitude of the Spanish model who, after accusing the full-back of having been “unfaithful” and pointing out that she would divorce him, went back and resumed the relationship. Joana, however, spoke out about the controversy, and denied any friction with Daniel Alves’ family.
“His family has nothing against me, quite the opposite,” said Joana Sanz in an interview with the collaborator of the Spanish television program “Así es la vida”, on the “Telecinco” channel.

Apparently, Daniel Alves and Joana Sanz resumed their relationship as soon as the player was granted provisional freedom in Spain, a month ago. The athlete and the model were spotted strolling hand-in-hand through the streets of Barcelona last week. The magazine “Diez Minutos” published a photo in which the two appeared together. In addition, Joana had already made a record on social networks in which she appeared with her hands intertwined with the Brazilian.
Daniel Alves was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for raping a 23-year-old woman in a Barcelona nightclub. However, the athlete was granted provisional release upon payment of a bail in the amount of 1 million euros, about R$ 5.4 million.
The player served 14 months of his sentence in a closed regime. Now, Daniel Alves awaits the analysis of the appeals, which were requested shortly after his conviction.
