Antônio Scalp from Biz da Mudança went viral on social mediaReproduction

Some everyday scenes for us Brazilians usually surprise people who are not used to everyday life in the country. The most recent case was that of actor Will Smith, known for starring in films such as MIB Men in Black, Bad Boys, The Pursuit of Happyness and the series ‘A Crazy Man in the Block’, who was surprised by the video of a man transporting a wardrobe on a motorcycle.

The video already has almost 24 million views and more than 960 thousand likes, while the comments section is full of Brazilians. In the caption, Will Smith wrote, “It’s not possible. How?” and tagged the “biz of change” page, responsible for publishing the original video.

A resident of Cariús, Ceará, “Antônio Scalp” is responsible for the profile biz of the change and records and shares the changes he makes using only his Honda Biz. In addition to the wardrobe, Antônio also transports refrigerators, six-packs and other objects and even travels along state highways doing his freight.

On Instagram alone, Antonio Scalp already has 22 thousand followers and says that his videos already have more than 50 million views. On Kwai, the success is even greater, with 293 thousand followers and more than 2 million likes.

Transporting on motorcycles without safety equipment is illegal

Although the video is curious, transporting large and heavy objects on motorcycles is a traffic violation. According to Contran (National Traffic Council), to carry out transport on motorcycles it is necessary to use a trunk, grille, bags or side boxes, taking into account the maximum dimensions of the vehicle, determined by the ends of the handlebars, nor compromising the use of rearview mirrors.

The fines that could be applied in this case are several, from driving without a helmet and protective equipment, which is a very serious infraction, carrying a load incompatible with its specifications, without holding the handlebars with both hands, among others. All provided for in article 244 of the Brazilian Traffic Code.
