When we think of fortune, we imagine luxury products such as distinctive helicopters, private jets, top-of-the-line cars, and even yachts. But what about a yacht that can do the function of a submarine? The Austrian company Migaloo has thought of exactly this and is about to launch the M5 Yacht, which has the ability to dive into the depths of the ocean with all the luxury and sophistication.
The project, self-proclaimed as “the world’s only private submersible superyacht,” offers a unique alternative for those looking to invest in something truly different. With a price tag of US$ 2 billion (R$ 10 billion), it is possible to order a specimen that can remain submerged for up to four weeks, reaching depths of up to 250 meters in various climatic conditions, tropical or arctic, and travel 14,816 km.
On the surface, the yacht reaches a speed of 20 knots (37 km/h), while submerged it reaches 12 knots (22 km/h).
See below photo gallery of the yacht:
This “underwater mansion” can be customized according to the client’s preferences, with an impressive 165.8 meters long (the equivalent of a FIFA football field) and 22 meters wide. The Migaloo M5 offers 1,000 square meters of interior space, with accommodations for up to 20 guests, as well as 40 crew members.
And even underwater, fun is guaranteed. The superyacht features a 200 m2 spa, a helicopter hangar and submarine hangar, open-air cinema, five jets, underwater scooter, surfboards, stand-up paddleboard, kayaks and even two smaller custom submersibles. For those who prefer land-based activities, the M5 will also offer two SUVs and pickup trucks. And for lovers of heights, there is even a helicopter and a balloon.
THERE’S STILL MORE In addition, as support, the M5 will feature a small submarine capable of descending up to 250 meters. It can be used to transport guests to the submerged yacht, transfer goods and offer additional space to guests – with seating for 12 people and three crew members. The name of the small submarine, 17 meters long, is Migaloo Limo Sub Tender (LST).
And the innovations don’t stop there. The small submarine has a retractable sunroof that transforms the main salon into an upper deck, being able to reach the same speed as the superyacht.
