photos The police were able to identify the body found naked in the lake of the Ibirapuera Park, in São Paulo, on April 30. Even so, the case is still being investigated by the 36th PD of Vila Mariana.

According to an investigation by TV Globo, the victim was recognized as Luiz Carlos de Melo, 56, through a dactyloscopic examination, which uses fingerprints.

Born in Contagem, Minas Gerais, the man’s origin was reported by the Department of Public Security to UOL. To date, the circumstances of the death have not been clarified. “The teams are awaiting the results of the other forensic examinations, which are in the preparation phase and will be analyzed by the police authority.”

The body, in a state of decomposition, was spotted by a person who reported it to the authorities. Firefighters and police were called on April 30 to investigate the situation.
