The American magazine “Forbes” has released the ranking of the highest-paid athletes in the world in 2024, and Cristiano Ronaldo appears at the top of the list.

According to the publication, the Al-Nassr striker earned, in the last 12 months, 260 million dollars, the equivalent of R$ 1.3 billion.

The magazine’s survey considers not only the athletes’ earnings from the practice of their activities, but also what they receive from sponsors and other sources of income. Cristiano Ronaldo, for example, earned $200 million from the salaries he receives from Al-Nassr. The rest of the amount ($60 million) comes from sponsorships and other off-line sources.

Just below Cristiano Ronaldo, Spanish golfer Jon Rahm appears on the list, who earned 218 million dollars (R$ 1.1 billion). Closing the podium is Lionel Messi, who currently defends the colors of Inter Miami. The Argentine star earned 135 million dollars (R$ 692 million). Neymar, on the other hand, comes in seventh place, with 108 million dollars (R$ 554 million).
