According to the Spanish press, Xisco Serra, one of the great references in bodybuilding, died this Thursday (16) at the age of 50 worldwide. Further details of the athlete’s death have not yet been released, but it is known that it was due to a stomach problem. 

Just a few days ago, Xisco had competed and helped in the organization of a local bodybuilding tournament in Spain, the ‘Balear Cup’. In all, the athlete participated in more than 90 competitions and put his name among the greats of the sport in Europe. 

Despite going through some categories, Xisco was more successful in the ‘middleweight’ and ‘heavyweight’ divisions, within which he won several trophies, building a strong resume in bodybuilding. 

One of the great moments of Serra’s career was the bronze medal in the heavyweight category at the European Championships of IFBB bodybuilding in 2013, which placed him once and for all among the sport’s references. His most recent achievement was in the past, when he won the Hercules Olympia WABBA & New WABBA PRO. 

In addition to his career in the sport, Xisco had also become a bodybuilding reference on social media. His ‘Instagram’ profile has more than 25 thousand followers, who accompanied him daily with tips and instructions on ‘fitness life’.
