Brazil has been chosen by FIFA to host the 2027 Women’s World Cup. After hosting the 2014 men’s World Cup, the country will now also host the biggest women’s soccer competition on the planet. To hold the tournament, Brazil will use 10 stadiums.
One of the arenas that will be used in the World Cup is the Maracanã, one of the main symbols of Brazilian and world football. The stadium will host the opening of the event and also the final of the competition. In all, Maracanã will host eight games.
Along with the Maraca, the Mané Garrincha stadium in Brasilia and the Mineirão will also host eight matches throughout the World Cup, and will be the most used arenas in the tournament. Regarding the 2014 World Cup, Brazil will only not use two stadiums: the Ligga Arena, in Curitiba, and the Arena das Dunas, in Natal.
