Neymar has been advancing in recovery of a serious knee injury, suffered in October 2023. However, for Jorge Jesus, coach of Al Hilal, there is no reason to rush the return of his number 10.

Neymar is expected to return for the Saudi team’s pre-season in August, but if it depends on his captain, the Brazilian will spend more time recovering and should only return in September.

“The time they give Neymar, in an injury like this, is usually between 10 and 11 months. Neymar will not be operational at the beginning of next season. We think that in September, October, he may be in a position to be able to compete,” the coach said at a press conference on Tuesday (21).

Neymar has been doing physical activities at the Al Hilal Training Center, but he still does not perform ball activities alongside his teammates. Recently, the number 10 shared a video of himself doing ‘kicks’ with the ball on a beach.

According to information from the Saudi newspaper ‘Al-Riyadiah’, Al-Hilal’s number 10 is now starting to focus on recovering ball control, speed and balance. Who is in charge of Neymar’s process is the Brazilian physical trainer, Ricardo Rosa, and the team doctor, the Spaniard Juan Jiménez.
