After Toni Kross announced that he will retire from football after the European Championship, the Real Madrid are now tasked with finding a replacement for his role. According to information in the Spanish press, the club has already decided that it will not go to the market in search of a replacement.
For next season, Ancelotti will use Jude Bellingham in the role of Toni Kroos, according to Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’. As a result, the search in the market for a player with Kroos’ characteristics will not be necessary.
The young Englishman will play more of the role of an original midfielder, stepping less in the box compared to this season, in which despite being considered a midfielder, he experienced moments of being a goalscorer.
Bellingham will also be more involved in building plays and distributing passes. Kroos has been an absolute starter under Ancelotti this season, in which Real Madrid still have the Champions League final to play.
