An 89-year-old woman stayed at home with the body of her 49-year-old daughter-in-law, who was murdered for 48 hours. The case took place in Timbuí, in the north of the Espírito Santo. The crime occurred on Friday (24) and the woman was only taken from home on Sunday (26).
The victim was Rosilda Fátima Barbosa dos Reis, who lived with her husband and his mother, was killed by her partner, who broke into the house and assaulted her, according to her mother-in-law.
Rosilda was found with bruises on her arms and hands, which also indicates defense movements.
The elderly woman said the perpetrator fled and her daughter-in-law was left dead at home. The lady also stated that she tried to ask for help, but as she has reduced mobility, she was unable to do so.
It was only on Sunday that the elderly woman was able to get help, when a person was passing by the residence and heard her screams.
The lady told police she doesn’t know where her son is. Witnesses said the victim was constantly assaulted by the man.
The case is under investigation by the Fundão Police Station. So far, no one has been arrested.
