McLaren Senna in Senna livery is always produced by the company in the United KingdomDisclosure/Amalgam Collection

In the last week, on May 21, before the Monaco Grand Prix, the McLaren presented the 800 hp super sports car called Senna, with a special livery in the colors of Brazil, in honor of the 30th anniversary of Ayrton Senna’s death. The vehicle itself isn’t for sale, but it didn’t take long for someone to design a miniature of the car.

The Amalgam Collection, a company specializing in miniatures of rare or racing vehicles, has already produced a version of the McLaren Senna with the same livery as the tribute, in 1:8 scale, and is already selling it. The model, with the Senna Sempre livery, is on sale for US$ 21.385, which is equivalent to R$ 110.560, almost the price of a Volkswagen Polo or Hyundai HB20 zero kilometer, or a Toyota Corolla 2022 with 50 km in the United States.

The Senna Sempre paint job on the real vehicle was done by hand, and while there are no detailed specifications about the process on the miniature, the company disclosed that the recreation of the paint job took 3,000 hours, the equivalent of four months of work. The process of assembling each car takes more than 300 hours, or 12 and a half days. Everything is done manually.

As one would expect when paying the price of a real car for a miniature, the interior is meticulously detailed, including the engine, brakes, tires, and every aspect of the vehicle, accurately reproduced.
