Agents of the DOF (Department of Border Operations) seized, last Thursday (23), an illegal cargo of 150 kg of human hair that was taken from Ponta Porã to Dourados, in Mato Grosso do Sul.
The seizure occurred while agents were carrying out a blockade for police inspection on the MS-164 highway, in the rural area of Ponta Porã.
The team gave a stop order to a white Toyota Etions and asked to inspect the vehicle, when they found the cargo valued at R$ 1.5 million without the necessary documentation.
The 32-year-old driver of the vehicle said he was only carrying the goods. According to the driver, he picked up the load of hair from a person from Paraguay, and would deliver it to Dourados.
The incident was registered at the Federal Police Station of Ponta Porã, the same place where the cargo of hair was delivered.
The
operation is part of the Border and Border Protector Program, a joint venture between the State Secretariat of Justice and Public Security (Sejusp) and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (Ministry of Justice and Public Security), in addition to Operation Ágata Fronteira Oeste II, in collaboration with the Brazilian Army.
