France ‘loses’ Griezmann to the Olympics and Mbappe stays away

Griezmann will not be at the Paris Olympics, Mbappé has no confirmed situationDisclosure

The France team will arrive in full force for the European Championship, however, it should not count on dreamed stars for the Paris Olympics, which take place at the end of July.

According to RMC Sport, Antoine Griezmann will not be able to be called up by Thierry Henry for the Olympic Games. The French Football Federation understands that Atletico Madrid will stand by the decision not to release the player for the competition.

The Spanish club’s decision is due to the short time between the Euro and the Olympics, in addition to the start of the pre-season being able to coincide with the final stretch of the Games.

Like their rivals, Real Madrid are also adamant about releasing Kylian Mbappe for the Games. As it is not a FIFA date, clubs are not obliged to release players for the Olympics.

According to French media, none of the players playing in the Euros are expected to be called up for the Olympics, so Henry could not count on any senior national team stars in Paris.
