Vini Jr, Rodrygo and more! See the two-time Champions League champions of the Brazilian national team

Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 on Saturday at Wembley Stadium to win their 15th Champions League title. The Spanish club further extended their lead as the competition’s biggest winner, now with eight more trophies than Milan, who have seven Champions League titles.

With this achievement, Brazilians Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Éder Militão join the list of two-time Champions League champions, keeping Brazil at the top of European football. This is the 19th consecutive season in which at least one Brazilian player has won the competition, showing the presence of the country’s athletes on the international stage.

Had Borussia Dortmund won, it would have broken a streak of 19 consecutive years in which at least one Brazilian player was in the Champions League-winning team, as the German team’s squad has no Brazilians.

Since the 2004-2005 season, when Liverpool beat Milan, with Cafu, Serginho, Kaká and Dida, there has always been at least one Brazilian in the Champions League-winning team. Among the Brazilians with the most titles in the competition are Casemiro and Marcelo, who together have lifted the trophy on five occasions: 2013-14, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2021-22.
