Kevin, a German dog from West Des Moines, Iowa, is officially considered the tallest living dog in the world. According to Guinness World Records, from the feet to the withers, the area located between the shoulder bones and the base of the neck, it is 96 cm long.
The dog’s owner, Tracy Wolfe, told Guinness World Records that the animal does not recognize its own size. “I don’t think he knows how big he is. He’s trying to squeeze into small beds and sit on top of us and do everything that smaller dogs do,” she commented.
The organization announced Kevin’s achievement last Thursday (13). According to them, the dog, which is named after the protagonist of the movie “Home Alone,” has the average height of a three-year-old human.
“Kevin is the epitome of a gentle giant,” Tracy told Guinness. “He’s afraid of most things. He’s terrified of the vacuum. He’s not going to let it get within 6 feet of him! He’s going to jump and run to get away from it,” joked the animal’s owner.
