A product of Real Madrid’s youth system, defender Nacho Fernández is close to leaving the Merengue club for Saudi Arabia’s Al Qadsiah.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the defender underwent his medical tests at the beginning of the week, and is awaiting the review and approval of the documents to sign a two-year contract with the new team.
In the professional team of Real Madrid for more than a decade, Nacho has made 364 appearances for the Merengues, scoring 16 goals and providing 10 assists.
A multi-champion with Real Madrid, the defender won six Champions Leagues, four LaLigas, five World Cups, five Spanish Super Cups, two Copa del Rey and four UEFA Super Cups.
