Considered the candidate of the “third way” in the election of the United States, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., nephew of the former president John Kennedy, said on Friday (28) that he accepts replacing John Biden and running for the Democratic Party.

In an interview with host Chris Cuomo, John Kennedy was asked about the possibility of talking to Democrats about taking Biden’s seat. “Of course I would talk to them. That would put me on the ballot without anyone trying to take me out,” he said.

The statement comes after Biden was heavily criticized for his performance in the CNN debate. At the time, the current U.S. president had several bad moments when confronted by opponent Donald Trump, of the Republican Party.

At a rally in North Carolina, Biden admitted that he has difficulty getting around and expressing himself. Still, the U.S. leader said he “knows how to tell the truth” and that he is the best option for the people of the United States.

An aide to the current president of the United States also confirmed that Biden will be a candidate for re-election. The race for the White House takes place on November 5 of this year.

Who is Robert F. Kennedy Jr.?

Robert is the nephew of former President John Kennedy, who held the White House from 1961 to 1963 when he was assassinated at a public event in Dallas. Despite this, the now presidential candidate is broken with his family members, who support Biden.

Robert holds a PhD in Law from the London School of Economics and has always advocated for the defense of the environment, indigenous peoples and renewable energy sources.

Still, in recent years, the candidate has become known for being an anti-vaccine activist, spreading fake news against various immunizers, including during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Considered an “outsider”, Robert has 10% of the voting intentions and has a remote chance of competing with Joe Biden and Donald Trump, the pre-candidates of the two main political parties in the US.
