Jude Bellingham’s celebration after the equalizer against Slovakia could end up causing the midfielder to miss England in the quarterfinals of the European Championship.

During the bicycle kick celebration, the number 10 brought his hand towards his groin and moved it back and forth, towards the dugout. Which raised rumors of a possible disrespect to opponents. Check it out below:

According to the newspaper Portuguese A Bola, if Uefa has this understanding, the player could be punished for the act with a one-game suspension. Thus, Bellingham would be out of the match against Switzerland, which takes place next Saturday.

Through social media, the 21-year-old explained the gesture, and said that it was not a disrespect.

“An inside joke gesture to some close friends who were at the game. Nothing but respect for the way the Slovakia national team played tonight,” he said.
