Video: Driver has sudden illness and kills woman in the South Zone of SP

When he had a sudden illness, a car driver lost control of the vehicle, invaded a median of an avenue in the South Zone of São Paulo and ran over two women who were at the scene. One of the victims died at the scene, the other was injured and taken to a hospital.

According to the Military Police (PM), the accident occurred around 7 am on Monday (1st) on Avenida Engenheiro Luís Carlos Berrini, in Brooklin, South Zone of São Paulo.

The footage shows the moment the white Jeep Renegade stands over the median after running over the victims. The vehicle still crosses the avenue and stops near a pole.

According to the PM, the driver was rescued by an ambulance, which took him to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in Vila Mariana to be treated. He is 44 years old and his condition has not yet been reported.

The woman who survived was taken by ambulance to Albert Einstein Hospital. Her health status was also not disclosed.

As there was a death, the Civil Police must investigate the causes and possible responsibilities for the hit-and-run. The woman who died was 34 years old and worked in the area.
