Mclaren is known for its street supercars and its very successful past on the tracks of Formula 1, but the British manufacturer recently announced a line of scooters in collaboration with Pure Electric, owned by Adam Norris, father of McLaren driver Lando Norris.
The scooters arrive in only one version, but with three different color options, all related to McLaren cars. The first option is the black color, called “Stealth Mode”, or stealth mode in a literal translation, while the color “Papaya“, is an orange close to the McLaren Orange, the traditional color of the brand’s cars and the Formula 1 team.
The third option is the Senna edition, which features the special livery used by McLaren in the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix and pays tribute to Ayrton Senna’s legacy.
Unlike Mclaren’s supercars, Pure’s scooters have 500W of power, with a peak of 710 Watts. The top speed is 25 km/h, while the maximum range is 50 km with a completely full battery.
The electric scooter uses tubeless tires and weighs only 16 kg and can also be folded with just three movements to be stored in apartments, for example, and why not in a Mclaren?
Prices
The prices of the scooters are very high. The models cost 899 pounds sterling (R$ 6,300) in orange and black, while the version with the paint that refers to Ayrton Senna’s helmet costs 1,200 pounds (R$ 8,400). Normally, Pure’s Advance model scooters cost 749 pounds (R$ 5.242).
