Brazil may soon gain the tallest housing building in the world. A construction company wants to go up, in Balneário Camboriú (SC), a residential skyscraper.
The project is called Triumph Tower and was approved by the city of Balneário Camboriú. The tower will be more than 500 meters long and the project is by the construction company FG.
In total, the built area will be 150 thousand square meters divided into 155 floors and 228 apartments.

What is the largest building in the world?
When completed, Triumph Tower will displace Steinway Tower as the tallest residential building. The building is in New York and is 435.3 meters tall.
However, both are far from the largest building in the world: the Burk Khalifa, in Dubai, is 828.8 meters tall.
Balneário Camboriú and its skyscrapers
The Triumph Tower will be built on the seafront of Barra Sul do Balneário Camboriú.
The place has, today, the largest residential towers in Brazil – Yachthouse, where Neymar has a penthouse.
Balneário Camboriú has almost total verticalization. It is the second smallest city in extension in Santa Catarina, but even so, it has the second place in the list of proportion of inhabitants living in apartments.
