A 17-year-old teenager was hit by a bus seconds after stealing the cell phone of a 71-year-old man in Lapa, in the West Zone of São Paulo, on Friday (19). He was rescued and taken to the Brasilândia Hospital, but he did not resist and died.

In the images, it is possible to see the elderly man with the cell phone to his ear. The teenager approaches the victim, grabs the device in a quick movement and runs away. During the escape, the robber does not notice the approach of a bus on the street. The vehicle hits him and he is thrown under the collective. The entire scene, from the theft to the hit-and-run, takes place in just 2 seconds.
The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) said that the case was registered in the 91st Police District (Ceasa) and that it requested expertise and examinations from the Forensic Medical Institute (IML).
SPTrans reported that the occurrence involved a bus that operated on line 8043/10 Hab. Tourist – Lapa, Santa Brígida. The company filed a police report.
