After a rift in the friendship between Romário and Bebeto, the two icons of the conquest of the fourth world championship of the Brazilian National Team, finally made peace, this Friday (19). The emotional moment took place during a special dinner celebrating the 30th anniversary of the 1994 World Cup title.
Romário, in a gesture of humility and recognition, expressed his sincere words to Bebeto.
“We had our differences in the past, but today I want to say that I love you. I thank everyone who made our partnership so special during that World Cup. If it weren’t for your support, we wouldn’t be Bebeto and Romário.” said Romário.
The fight between the two friends arose due to discrepant political opinions, especially because Romário was a senator for Rio de Janeiro. However, the love for football and the memory of the historic achievement brought the characters of the 1994 title together again.
In addition to the reconciliation between Romário and Bebeto, other important characters from the victorious 1994 campaign were present at the event.
