A balloon that fell and caught fire in the early hours of Monday (22) on Alto Belo Street, in Aricanduva, East Zone of São Paulo. The flames reached properties and a daycare center.
Before the fall, he had passed through Itaquera and dragged and overturned a car on Rua Jaguaruna. The balloon also lifted a motorcycle to the overhead electrical wiring of a pole located on Avenida Pires do Rio.
Because of the balloon, Itaquera, São Miguel Paulista, Ermelino Matarazzo, Vila Jacuí, Vila Carmosina, Vila Progresso and Vila Ré.
Also, the Fire Department arrived at the scene 3 am to put out a fire in a residence in Aricanduva. Part of the balloon also hit the playground of a daycare center in the neighborhood.
“Unfortunately there are irresponsible people who do this. And today the children of our daycare center were harmed,” an employee of the daycare center told TV Globo. “I woke up to the explosion in the backyard of my house,” said a resident who had his property hit by part of the balloon.
Enel, the company responsible for supplying electricity, reported that 95% of the properties affected by the power outage had electricity restored.
