Brazilian pays R$ 15 thousand at the Opening of the Olympics and detonates event: “Scoundrel”

Brazilian pays R$ 15 thousand to see Paris Olympics ceremony, but is disappointed: ‘A lot of scoundrel’Reproduction/Instagram (@lucasamadeu)

Businessman Lucas Amadeu, born in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, went viral in the international press after sharing his frustration with the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics Paris, which took place this Friday (26).

In a sequence of posts on the networks, he says that he invested R$ 15 thousand in the tickets and left completely dissatisfied with the experience, which he classified as “horrible”.

The businessman says he was disgusted with the lack of structure in the stands of the place that, according to him, should be the most privileged of the event. In addition, Lucas says that he faced gigantic queues to enter the space and the lack of information from the organizers, not to mention the storm that lasted the entire ceremony.

“It was a lot of scoundrel of the organization to have saved by making the stands without cover. Each one paid R$ 15 thousand in the place where I was, even for Europeans it is expensive”, he says.

Went viral

The Brazilian’s outburst ended up making news in media outlets such as France 24h, Yahoo News, RFI and NBC News, among others (see below).

Amadeu says that he was also present at the opening of the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, in 2016, and classified the edition as “superior”.

Despite the difficulties, Amadeu said that the episode also provided a moment of humanity and that it made him continue at the ceremony in the midst of chaos: without an umbrella, a German spectator offered him a raincoat and did not charge for it.

“In this type of situation we see that there are still a lot of good people in the world,” he reflected, stating that, even in the midst of frustrations, gestures of kindness can happen.
