With the gold in the artistic gymnastics floor final on Monday (5), Rebeca Andrade became the first Brazilian athlete to win four medals in a single edition of the Olympic Games.

In addition to the gold, Rebeca won the silver medal in the individual all-around and vault finals, and bronze in the team final at the Paris Olympics.

The gymnast also became the biggest Olympic medalist in the country’s history, surpassing legendary sailors Torben Grael and Robert Scheidt, who have five medals each.

Rebeca is the 12th athlete with four medals won at the Paris Olympic Games, joining names like Simone Biles, Leon Marchand, Ariarne Titmus and Katie Ledecky.
