On the morning of Friday (23), at least 100 people who were practicing standup paddle near the Copacabana Fort, at Posto 6, South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, had to be rescued after being thrown into the sea by an intense gust of wind that hit the city.
A wind of 70 kilometers per hour affected Rio de Janeiro this morning. The Fire Department and Army soldiers participated in the rescue of the victims, who were at sea to observe the sunrise. Some people were injured when they collided with rocks. Until 8 am, seven people needed medical attention.

Weather forecast in Rio
A cold front will cause an abrupt drop in temperatures between Friday, Saturday (24) and Sunday (25).
This Friday, however, the city still faces a day with high temperatures. The sky will remain clear and there is no rain forecast. Temperatures will vary between a minimum of 20°C and a maximum of 38°C.
On Saturday, the temperature will begin to drop dramatically, with a predicted maximum of 29°C and a minimum of 20°C. The approach of a cold front in the ocean will begin to affect the weather, bringing an increase in clouds throughout the day and the possibility of light and isolated rains from the evening onwards.
On Sunday, the cold front will continue to influence the weather. The sky will be cloudy to overcast, with the possibility of isolated light to moderate showers throughout the day. Temperatures will be significantly lower, with a maximum of 24°C and a minimum of 16°C.
