A Golden Retriever Named Baxter, 4 years old, went viral and delighted netizens when he had an unusual reaction when one of his toys was taken from him. In the video, recorded by the owner, Aliah Kroeze, 27, from Washington, United States, the pet appears with a sad look and with a trembling mouth. Aliah, who calls herself a “pet mom,” can’t hold back her laughter when she sees the animal’s reaction when she sees one of her toys being discarded, which was because Baxter had already destroyed the toy. as the tutor explained. “When daddy picks up the toys,” the caption reads.
In the comments of the post, netizens joked about the puppy’s heartbreaking reaction and asked everyone to contribute to buying him more toys. One TikTok user wrote, “Never seen a puppy with quivering lips,” while another demanded, “Oooh no, give that baby back toy!” Another said: “Poor baby, if that was my dog he would bankrupt me, his little lip trembling… He’s holding back tears,” while Outri joked, “I’m calling the PAW Patrol right now!”
Seeing netizens’ reaction to the video, which had over 10.9 million views and 1.8 million likes on TikTok, Aliah explained, “He destroys toys in one day and we throw them away, that’s the face he makes every time.” She also pointed out that they’re “not horrible parents,” sharing a new video, showing all the toys Baxter, and her little sister, also a Golden Retriever, Delilah, have to play with.
“My Golden Retriever likes to rip everything,” she explained in the video, adding in a comment, “Turns out he loves to tear up the toys. If it’s too hard [to rip] he doesn’t accept it hahah…”
Since the video went viral, Aliah has been sharing a series of videos with Baxter playing with, and destroying, his toys.
