and journalist, Alejandra Rodríguez lives in the city of La Plata, in the province of Buenos Aires, and made her debut in the regional competition at the age of 60. This was the first time that the contest created in 1958 did not require an age limit — until 2023, only women aged 18 to 28 could apply.
“I had never signed up. Now, this opportunity arose and it seemed to me a challenge, a very interesting proposal,” she said in an interview with the pay television channel TN. “Beauty is not only physical, but has to do with the attitude towards life, which goes beyond aesthetics. That’s why I think the contest came to break those stereotypes, and that’s what’s giving it so much visibility.”
On her Linkedin profile, Rodríguez says that she has a degree from the National University of La Plata in Journalism and Law and currently works as a lawyer in a hospital linked to the Ministry of Health of Buenos Aires, in addition to also working as a lawyer in the fields of family and civil law. She also states that she is interested in tourism journalism and is available to travel.
She is not currently married and is not dating, TN reported. But there is no further information about children or grandchildren.
