Coach José Mourinho pointed out three favourites to win the Euro Cup And he took out one of the giants of world football. According to coach Portuguese, recently announced by Fenerbahçe, from Turkey, Portugal, England and France are the favorites for the title, while Germany and Spain are on the outside. For Mourinho, Italy, the current continental champion, will not win the second title.

“The reality is that there are three or four teams that are the strongest: Portugal, England, France and in the second tier Spain, Germany. Italy I don’t believe it, because it’s not a very talented generation. I can’t find enough talent to win, they won the last one, but I don’t believe in a second time”, analyzed the coach before the friendly between Portugal and Croatia, this Saturday (8).

Despite pointing out Portugal as one of the favourites, the coach believes that the title is not an obligation for the Portuguese. “Demand is a tricky word in football. Demanding dedication, empathy, courage, ambition, yes, without a doubt, yes. Demanding to win, sometimes the boundary between winning and not winning is hard, we may not be able to do it by a penalty shoot-out, sometimes the boundary between success and non-success is very short,” he concluded.

The Portuguese team is trying to win the second title in the history of the competition. In 2016, Portugal won its only title in the final against France. Cristiano Ronaldo led the national team  to the title campaign and played again in the competition, which could be the last for the star Portuguese.
