On the eve of the start of the Paris Olympics, French people protested in an unusual way in the French capital. According to Mundo Deportivo, he is dissatisfied with the speed of the French government in cleaning up the Seine River for competitions in some aquatic sports.

Official estimates indicate that more than $1.5 million was required for the service. The manifestation, however, is somewhat unusual and consists of defecating in the waters of the river, leaving it dirty again. The scheduled date for the demonstration is June 23, the same day that the mayor of the French capital, Anne Hidalgo, and other officials, including President Emmanuel Macron, were supposed to swim in the waters of the Seine to demonstrate that water sports can be practiced safely.

The initiative sparked debate. Some praise the creativity of the protest. Others consider the act to be irresponsible and a risk to public health. The authorities, however, are trying to balance the situation between the right to protest and the protection of the city’s natural resources.
