Last Sunday (30) an apparition in the streets and avenues of São Paulo, more specifically in the Cidade Jardim neighborhood, an upscale area of the city, attracted the attention of several enthusiasts (and even those who were not). It is a Bugatti Chiron Sport, the only model in Brazil among the 500 already produced. The specimen is part of a special series, with only 60 units worldwide.

The vehicle was imported by Paíto Motors, a company specializing in the sale of luxury vehicles. It is estimated that the super sports car was sold for between R$ 50 million and R$ 70 million. The buyer, who has not been identified, was wearing a helmet while riding as a passenger in the vehicle.

In addition to the Bugatti, the owner has a collection that includes a Ferrari LaFerrari, a McLaren Senna, a P1, a Porsche 918 Spyder, among others. Previously, the most expensive car in Brazil was the LaFerrari, valued at R$ 40 million and also unique in the country, but the arrival of the Bugatti changed this scenario.

The Chiron presented was of a special blue color and is equipped with a W16 8.0 quad-turbo engine with 1,500 hp and 163.2 kgfm of torque, coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 420 km/h, and can reach up to 490 km/h without a limiter. Acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h is accomplished in just 5.5 seconds. At maximum speed, the fuel tank empties in just eight minutes.

The model was presented in 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show and had its production ended in 2021. The Chiron Sport version was the first special series of the model and is characterized by a weight reduction of 18 kg in the body, due to the extensive use of carbon fiber.

For aficionados, Bugatti recently introduced the Bugatti Tourbillon, an electric super sports car with 1,800 hp capable of reaching 445 km/h in 25 seconds, replacing the Chiron, with only 250 units planned for production.

The Bugatti Chiron arrived in Brazil at the beginning of the year and was transported by ship to the port of Suape, in Pernambuco, before finally being seen on the streets of São Paulo on the last day of June. The import process took approximately eight months to complete.
