The Federal Police (PF) seized about R$ 200 thousand at the home of the state secretary of Transport and former mayor of Duque de Caxias, Washington Reis (MDB). In all, the police found R$ 164 thousand in cash, in addition to US$ 5.7 thousand (about R$ 31.2 thousand by the current conversion) and 170 euros (approximately R$ 1 thousand) in the politician’s house.
Washington is one of those investigated in the second stage of Operation Venire, launched this Thursday (4) by the Federal Police. The operation targets the alleged falsification scheme in the vaccination cards of former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his family members in 2022.
