Corinthians is interested in signing Mario Balotelli and negotiates with the Italian striker more than two months ago. The radio ‘Itatiaia’ reports that the player has already given the go-ahead for the talks to move forward and has shown himself willing to play at Timão.
The board of the São Paulo club was encouraged by the amounts requested by the striker to play in Brazilian football. Corinthians expected a greater financial request from Balotelli, who is free on the market after leaving Adana Demirspor, from Turkey.
The radio adds that the arrival of Balotelli is not the only ‘big signing’ that Corinthians is looking for the second half of 2024. The arrival of the Italian striker already has the endorsement of the club’s scouting department, but needs to be analyzed by Ramón Díaz, Timão’s new coach.
Last season, there were sixteen matches for Adana Demirspor, in which the striker scored seven goals and distributed one assist. Timão is studying the scenarios to be able to forward the signing.
