A teacher was assaulted by a couple after a traffic fight on Ilha do Governador, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The case happened last Friday night (5), and was recorded by a security camera.
Diana Campos Lopes was arriving at the building where she lives, in Ribeira, and turned on the turn signal to signal that she would enter the garage. The couple’s car was slow in the right lane and ended up closed by the teacher’s. There was no crash and no injuries.
The gate of the building opened as the couple stopped the vehicle further on, got out of the car, pulled Diana from the steering wheel and started beating her. The couple punched and kicked the teacher and no one showed up to break up the fight. The man even accelerated the car and dragged Diana for a few more meters.

Diana has several bruises, black eyes, a cut mouth and a bandaged hand.
The case was registered at the 37th DP (Ilha do Governador). According to police chief Felipe Santoro, the couple was found and was summoned to give a statement.
“When I see it, I’m already being attacked, taken out of my car with punches by a man and a woman I don’t know,” Diana told g1.
“Was it violence, an aggression for a futile reason, just because I passed in front? I’m scared,” reported the teacher.
