Boyfriend is suspected of killing DayaraReproduction

The confirmation of the identity of the bones found on a farm in the southern region of Goiás brought a tragic outcome to the family of Dayara Talissa Fernandes da Cruz, 21. The forensic examination confirmed that the remains belong to the young woman, who was reported missing at the end of February.

According to information from the investigations, the victim’s husband, Paulo Antônio Herberto Bianchini, is named as the main suspect in the crime.

Dayara disappeared between the end of February and March 10, a period in which Paulo registered her disappearance only on March 25.

However, contradictions in his statements led the police to consider him a suspect, culminating in the obtaining of search and seizure warrants.

Paulo Bianchini turned himself in to police on July 1 and has been detained ever since. His lawyer said that the delivery was to collaborate with the Justice and that he will contest what he classified as “inconsistencies” in the police investigation.

“Lawyer Dr. Divino Diogo states in a note that he presented his client Paulo Antônio at the Vianópolis police station on the afternoon of July 1st, in order to collaborate with justice, since there was an arrest warrant issued against him. The lawyer also states that through the procedural route he will reject the inconsistencies contained in the police investigation, which are based on evidence only because of the affective bond between Paulo and the victim. The objective is to prove in court the denial of authorship of the accused,” says the defense note.

Paulo was very jealous

Dayara’s family, originally from Mato Grosso, paid tribute at the place where the remains were found, lighting candles in memory of her.

Family members say that the suspect of having committed the crime was jealous and violent, so much so that the victim was found several times with bruises on his body. The relationship was tumultuous, with frequent separations and reconciliations.

Paulo changed his version of Dayara’s disappearance several times, initially claiming to have left her at a bus station and then changing the location of the incident.

Paulo’s attitude of blocking contact with Dayara’s family also raised additional suspicions against him, intensifying the investigations into the case.
