Striker David Neres may be living his last moments as a Benfica player. In the sights of Napoli, from Italy, the Brazilian is inclined to a move to the team led by Antonio Conte.

According to the Italian newspaper ‘Corriere Dello Sport’, the former São Paulo striker does not want to “live in the shadow of Di María” and is interested in playing for Napoli. The publication explains that Benfica is asking for around 20 million euros (approximately R$ 121 million) to negotiate the athlete with the Italians.

At the Portuguese club since 2022, Neres has played 83 games, scored 17 goals and provided 26 assists. In addition, the athlete was Portuguese champion with the team in the 2022/23 season.

After shining with the Benfica shirt, David Neres lost space in the team with the arrival of Ángel Di María. Last season, he ended up being used out of position due to the presence of the Argentine, who should remain in the team.
