The main suspect in stabbing a 32-year-old security guard at a bar in the city of Santana (AP) was arrested by the Federal Police last Monday (29). The incident occurred on Sunday (28) in a forró house and began after a disagreement involving the victim.
According to information from the Metrópoles portal, the suspect was dancing with a woman when he felt the victim’s hand on his butt. The situation generated a fight, which was interrupted by witnesses.
However, the confusion started again and resulted in a generalized fight, culminating in the stabbing of the security guard.
The 4th Battalion of the Military Police of Amapá was called to attend to the occurrence. The suspect, identified by the authorities, fled and was found hiding in a river. Witnesses reported that he remained under a plant in the water for almost half an hour.
The maritime operations team of the Federal Police was called to assist in the arrest of the man.
After being detained, the suspect was taken to the Civil Police station to give a statement. He will be at the disposal of justice andwill answer for intentional homicide.
