Outside the plans of Ramón Díaz’s staff, the 21-year-old midfielder continues to train separately from the main squad and is in no hurry to define his future, pending a solution from the board, which is looking to find a destination for the player.
Recently, Rodrigo was close to moving to an MLS club, but final disagreements scuppered the deal. Clubs from the Brazilian Serie C also made enquiries, but both the player and his staff ruled out the possibility.
The midfielder has a contract with Cruzmaltino until December 2025. In total, he has made 22 appearances for Vasco and has been with the club since the Under-15s.
