Singer Aniita vented this Saturday (27) on her Twitter account about the release of her latest album Funk Generation. The Brazilian singer’s work was released last Friday (26), causing controversy with the track Savage Funk, which consists of the repetition of the word “fuck”.
On social media, Anitta says that her fate is to “ask for respect for the rhythm considered scum in the country”, and says that she is free to do whatever she wants with her life. With the success of the work, the singer placed all the songs in the Top 50 of the charts.
Anitta wrote: “If you only knew all the times I ran into a closed door when I tried to bring funk with me. Sometimes there wasn’t even a door, to tell you the truth. There were a lot of fights bought, there were a lot of frogs to swallow, a lot of people to bust. Asking for respect for the rhythm considered the dregs of the country has become my fate. 14 years ago. How many times have my family or closest friends said: “never mind, it’s not worth all this stress, come stay with us.
“I was touched by the care and affection, but something kept me going. If you knew how difficult it was for this album to be released, it was many years of trying, many years almost giving up.
“Yesterday the whole country listened to FUNK GENERATION. ALL songs entered the top 50 in Brazil. Today I feel free to do whatever I want with my life from now on. My album has everything to be a success in the world from now on, it also has everything to be a failure because of the risk I was willing to take, and that excites me.
“I’m a bitch and everybody knows, I’m a fighter and everybody knows, I’m family and everybody knows. I fuck my ass off, I fucking work my ass off, I fucking fight my ass off, I fucking study.
