Detoxification is a natural process in the human body. Through organs such as the liver, kidneys and intestines, toxic products are eliminated from the body through sweat, urine and feces. Detox juices, for example, can contribute positively to this process. That’s why we’ve selected 5 recipes for you to incorporate into your routine. This way, as well as helping to detoxify the body, you’ll also increase your consumption of fruit and vegetables.   

Tomato juice 

Ingredients 

  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 1/2 carrot peeled
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 250 ml iced water 
  • Ice to taste 

Method of preparation 

Wash the tomatoes and carrots under running water and chop them. Place the chopped ingredients in the blender, add the lemon juice and iced water and blend for 3 minutes. Strain, add ice cubes and serve.

Pineapple and fennel juice

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 carrot, peeled and diced
  • 1 apple, diced and seeded
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 200 ml of cold coconut water
  • 1 leaf of cabbage
  • 1 leaf ofchopped butter
  • Mint leaves to taste

Method of preparation 

In a blender, place the carrot, apple, cucumber, butter cabbage and coconut water and blend until you get a smooth drink. Add the chia seeds and mint leaves and blend again to combine. Transfer to a glass and serve afterwards.

Kale, lemon and cucumber juice 

Ingredients 

  • 1 chopped kale leaf
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 sliced cucumber with peel
  • 1 chopped apple with peel and seeds
  • 150 ml coconut water

Method of preparation 

In a blender, place the butter cabbage, cucumber, apple and coconut water until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Add the lemon juice and blend for another 2 minutes. Strain the juice through a strainer and serve.

Watermelon juice with strawberry 

Ingredients 

  • 1 slice of watermelon 
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon 
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 150 ml iced water

Method of preparation 

In a blender, place the strawberries, the watermelon and the cold water until you have a smooth drink. Add the cinnamon and blend again to combine. Strain the juice through a strainer and serve afterwards.

Orange juice with mango

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of linseeds
  • 2 slices of ginger
  • Juice from 5 oranges
  • 1 mango, peeled and diced
  • Rocks of ice to taste

Method of preparation

In a blender, add the orange juice and mango and blend until smooth. Add the linseeds and ginger and blend again to combine. Transfer the juice to a jug, add the ice cubes and serve.
