There’s a reinforcement arriving in the City of Galo. It’s 21-year-old striker Brahian Palacios, who was with Atlético Nacional (COL). He signed a four-season contract, until the end of 2027, and cost R$15 million from Atlético-MG’s coffers.

“Special greetings to the Galo masses. I’m very pleased and happy to be here, and I’m grateful for the opportunity. Thank you all for your messages. I hope to meet you soon,” said Palacios.

The Colombian has already had his name published in the Brazilian Football Confederation’s (CBF) Daily Informative Bulletin (BID). Palacios is therefore cleared to make his debut for Atlético. The line-up is now up to the coaching staff.

The player played in the preliminary phase of the Libertadores for the Colombian team, but will be able to play in the group stage for Galo. The rules of the Conmebol tournament allow two different clubs to register, as long as they are in different phases.

Brahian Palacios will be the seventh Colombian in Atlético’s history. Before him, however, Alex Escobar, Gustavo Del Toro, Wason Rentería, Sherman Cárdenas, Yimmi Chará and Dylan Borrero have all played for the club.
