Mother-in-law outshines brides by appearing in see-through dress

Can you imagine having to beg your mother not to wear white to your wedding ceremony? Or rather, after she gives in, her fiancée is totally overshadowed because she chooses a see-through dress? That’s what happened at the wedding of Taiwanese actress Jin Cheng, 29, to German wife Aky Niwa.

The actress’ mother, Pauiline, 57, started causing a headache when she decided she wanted to wear a white dress to the ceremony, which was not well received by Jin Cheng. The bride begged her mother not to use the color, which was eventually accepted. However, Pauline decided to innovate and go dressed in a completely transparent crystal mesh along with light blue lingerie.

A photo of the couple with their mothers went viral, generating a wave of comments, accusing the actress’ mother of having no respect for the couple. Others, however, have extolled Pauline’s beauty, and claim that she has to be proud and show such a youthful and beautiful appearance.

One netizen commented, “This is so inappropriate.” Another pointed out, “You’re not the bride and that’s not elegant at all.” A third jokes, “If you have a perfect body, show it off!”

Even though the internet is divided, Pauline was celebrated by her daughter. On social media, the actress thanked her mother for her support: “There is no us without you,” Jin Cheng wrote.

Jin and Aky have been together for four years. On the TikTok profile, the wives share their routine, in addition to trending. Jin is popularly known in Taiwan for having started her career in 2007, through a talent development program on the Chinese television network Channel V.
