Raquel Cattani, daughter of state deputy Gilberto Cattani (PL), was found dead on Friday (19) on a farm of approximately 50 hectares, far from the city. The nearest location is Tapurah (MT), about 40 km away by dirt road. According to the experts, the 26-year-old woman was the victim of more than 30 stab wounds in the mid-north region of Mato Grosso.
The residence where the young woman lived is located inside Portal do Marape, in Nova Mutum (Mato Grosso). However, the urban area of the city is about 160 km away from the rural property.
Witnesses reported that the nearest farms are approximately 1 km away from the house where Raquel was found. Deputy Gilberto Cattani also lives in a nearby house, 2km from his daughter’s residence.
In addition to the sites, there is also a small village located approximately 3 km from the rural property.
According to information from the Military Police, the victim was found alone inside one of the rooms of her house on Friday morning. According to the forensic report, she died on Thursday night (18).
“Several blood stains at the site and several injuries. DNA samples were collected to try to reach the aggressor, but we know that the victim tried to resist. There were more than 30 stab wounds on the body,” explained expert Jomar Silva Magalhães, at a press conference.
Raquel Cattani leaves two children, a six-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl. The body was veiled on Saturday morning (20), at the Bom Jesus Chapel, in Lucas do Rio Verde, 360 km from Cuiabá.
